Bilingual is Better

Camila is now hooked on pirates, thanks to the Disney Jr. show, Jake and the Never Land Pirates. We tune onto it using the SAP (Second Audio Program) option so we can watch el niño pirata en español on his adventures with the naught Captain Hook.

So we jumped when we got an invite from Disneyland Parks to attend a Disney Parks Blog meet up at Disney California Adventure park to be part of a Jake and the Never Land Pirates fiesta! We called up our favorite amigos, Dariela (MamiTalks.com) and her son Adrian to come with us on a  fun bilingual playdate.

The kids got to sing and dance like pirates, get their autograph books signed by both Captain Hook and Jake and then spend a beautiful SoCal day at California Adventure.

Now, of course, my girl is a Jake fan more than ever and is super excited that this Monday, Feb. 13, Peter Pan returns to Never Land on a special Disney Channel one-hour episode premiering at 7pm EST. Featuring six original songs, the special finds Peter Pan returning to Pirate Island to enlist Jake, Izzy, Cubby and Skully in finding his lost shadow. Since it will be late for most chiquitos, I totally recommend setting up the DVR to watch with SAP when you can and keep in your collection.

Disclosure: I received no compensation for this post other than four tickets to enjoy Disney Californian Adventure for the day. All opinions are my own.
