Children Inspire Design Roots Maps collection
A couple of weeks ago I discovered Children’s Inspire Design thanks to a giveaway going on at Design Mom. I instantly fell in love with the colors, the designs, the textures, the quirkiness and sensibility, but most of all with the fact that creator Rebecca Peragine made a collection inspired by kids around the globe.

Rebecca went through the trouble of making versions of many of her prints, posters and wall cards–all perfect to decorate any nursery or kids room–in eight to eleven languages, depending on the product. I admire and respect that and wished more companies-small and large-saw the benefit in being multilingual and getting to the heart and roots of our global citizens.

The three prints you see above with a map of Mexico, California and Netherlands are part of the My Roots collection that has me all gaga! Just check out how Rebecca describes this collection and you, like I, will know it’s meant for you:

Who you are is determined, in part, by where you come from. The My Roots wall designs for kids are a creative, stylish way to teach children where in this big, diverse world their roots lie. Not only is the art beautiful for both big and small, but the collection tells a story of how families come together from all parts of the world. Our wall decor shows a child where family roots lie, a place they are connected to, whether it’s ten or ten thousand miles away.

Those three maps above? Those would partially tell the story of my girl’s immediate roots. It’s missing my home country of El Salvador, but I’ll be putting in a request for that one when I purchase the other three! Each map comes with a set of two hearts you can place with your child in the exact location within the map where their roots lay.

children inspire design spanish number cards

The Global Child number cards are fun, pretty and shower your children with imageries of nature.

The Spanish Farm Animal cards come in sets of eight. This vintage-inspired look can instantly add personality to a kid’s room.

The Spanish Alphabet poster exposes kids to the alfabeto along with imagery from nature and the environment. All prints, posters and wall cards are eco-friendly and created with recycled materials.

The El Rey Junior 8×10 print is a fun and colorful way to add a vibrant touch of kitschy Mexico to any room in the house!
