Video of the Week: La Granja de mi Tío

I definitely run the risk of sounding naive, BUT I really had no idea how to sing “Old MacDonald had a Farm” in Spanish.  My girl’s been singing it a lot lately and I really wanted to teach her the Spanish version (even though really the only part she sings for now is “E-I-E-I-O”).  I found it on You Tube, of course. The Spanish version is callled “La Granja de mi Tío” and it´s just as catchy as the EnglishRead More ...

One of my best tricks for long car rides is to hand over my iPod to Camila so she can be entertained and mami can have some quiet time to attempt to put some thoughts together, or to at least watch the road ahead of me! The challenge I’ve had is findingRead More ...

What a nostalgic trip down memory lane with Topo Gigio!  How many of you remember watching him as a kid?  Surely if you grew up in Latin America, Italy, the US, Japan or any of the many countries where Topo Gigio was adored you’ve at one point been fascinated by this little mouse. We can thank the Italians for creating such a lovable character more than four decades ago.  Some countries still air his shows, but you can for sureRead More ...
