Part of what we enjoy doing is finding useful resources for your bicultural familia. We feel that one of the most handy tools we have at hand for exploring cultures and languages with children is food and cooking traditional meals. In this category of The Culture of Food we have introduced you to amazing and tasteful cooking blogs with recipes from all over Latin America that celebrate our culture. Today, we want to let you know about a website that just relaunched with a new look and features: Qué Rica Vida. This General Mill’s site, who flaunts gorgeous Univisión celebrity and mother Karla Martinez as their spokesperson, aims to become the online gathering place for Latina moms to find recipes and lifestyle resources in Spanish.
Ever since coming back from Miami after attending the special media event they put together to unveil the site, I’ve been spending some time navigating Que Rica Vida and becoming lost and fascinated browsing through their impressive catalog of recipes. They have everything from your typical grilled cheese sandwich to a Mexican Cochinita Pibil.
The pictures are gorgeous and the instructions very detailed and easy to follow. The Chefs in charge of creating and testing the recipes, Chefs Adriana Amione and Chef Cristina Martín del Campo, both hailing from Mexico, have put together an array of recipes that include savory and traditional Latin meals that can be enjoyed in every household.
I share with you some of the favorites I bookmarked to test out immediately:
¡Buen Provecho!
Disclaimer: Roxana and myself were invited by General Mills on their dime to Miami, FL to be part of the QueRicaVida.com media event. We have not been compensated for writing about or mentioning them. All opinions expressed are completely our own.
The pastel mojito looks yummy! Will have to try.

These kinds of posts are always inspiring, I prefer to read quality content so I pleased to find many good point here in the post, writing is simply great, thank you for the post.
I teach my kids cooking traditional meals before anything else. The work of pure traditional flavors is important. When I was at University, my friends were all busy cooking some quick bites in micro waves. I made sure to never do that mistake (microwave is still useful for certain things, I know, but should not stand as the main cooking device).
PS: Your pozolle de pollo sounds very interesting.
Thanks for sharing! I think I could read it all day:)
Rattling nice style and wonderful content material , practically nothing else we need : D.
