If you are looking for a different kind of movie to watch with your kids this weekend, I definitely recommend The Secret World of Arrietty, opening tomorrow, February 17th, in theaters everywhere.
I have a four year daughter and I can honestly say she was enthralled by The Secret World of Arrietty, as was I. I´ve been a longtime fan of Studio Ghibli movies (Ponyo, Spirited Away) and was delighted that Disney decided to bring us the English version of this film, an animated adventure based on Mary Norton’s acclaimed children’s book series “The Borrowers.”
The filmmakers take you into a fantastic journey and a world that stays with you long after the film is over. I also love that Arrietty is a passionate girl with a strong will, definitely the type of roles I want my girl identifying with!
