Would love to win these as I’m a homeschooling mom of 2 kids and we’re all trying to learn Spanish together. Thanks!
Greetings! I’m following via regular email updates from you, and if I recall correctly, Twitter! I would LOVEEEEEE to win so that I can use this wonderful resource with my two children, Rebecca 9 and Anthony 6. Unfortunately, as a fully bilingual professional in education, married to a non-Spanish speaker, I have not been successful at helping my children become bilingual. I also may have relied too much on abuelita’s help, and unfortunately she passed in 2003. My children do listen to Spanish musica, TV when mama is watching (**wink**), and have Spanish-language books that we try to incorporate, but it has still been a challenge. I think they would both enjoy the “Jorge el Curioso” resources because they are already familiar with the English-language books and PBS show. Thank you for considering us!
My sons love Jorge el curioso! They watch in English but always ask, mami en espanol!

Gracias!
Jorge el Curioso would be so very perfect for my adventurously spirited, 3 year old, who so loves the magic of learning español! : )
Thanks so very much for this fabulous give~away! : )

This would absolutely be the perfect gift for my Nephew Ryland…I am serious! My Hubs is of Mexican descent and since even before Ryland was born we have been talking with my Sis..his Mom..about teaching him Spanish. We speak it in our household and have Lalos two sons with us that only spoke Spanish when they first arrived. Now of course they are happily bi-lingual. Ryland is getting to the reading and video age and Curious George is age appropriate ( well who really doesn’t love that adorable monkey at any age?! ) He calls us “Tia” and “Tio” and delights in gifts that we bring him from Lalos relatives South of the Border. This set would add to the theme and help us with his learning at the same time! Please include us in the Giveaway! I would LOVE to win this..and by the way, we call Ryland our little Monkey.
I would love this for my daughter, because we are trying to teach her Spanish. My husband’s native language is Spanish and I wan my daughter to be able to talk to her grandparents.
Thank you for hosting such a great give away opportunity! We live in a very small community and after a year of looking, have finally found a native speaker to teach my two girls (ages 2 and 5) and myself Spanish. These DVD’s would be a great resource for us to have as we stumble our way through a new language. My hope is that in a few years we will have learned enough to speak mostly Spanish at home. Thank you again for this opportunity.
The DVD’s will be for me and my son to enjoy together. We don’t have any DVD’s in Spanish yet, and it will be great to share these with our neighborhood friends and Spanish play group.

If I don’t win this, I may just have to buy it. I have 3 boys (15 months, 5 yrs, and 7 yrs) and I have such a hard time getting them to speak Spanish. I’ve tried just about everything and the 5 yrs old gets frustrated when I try speaking strictly in Spanish. However, they love Curious Jorge so hopefully this will help!

My grand-nephew is the child of a single parent who is struggling hard to make ends meet. She wants very much for her son to learn Spanish but doesn’t have the ability to teach him. My husband is a native speaker of Spanish and would help, but mom lives hours away and we only see her once in a while. This would be so inspiring for her bright, motivated 5-year old!

I would love to win the DVD set for use at home with my half-costa rican daughter and also at school with my Pre-k thru 2nd graders(I teach Spanish).
This would be a great resource for me both at home and school:)

I would love to win this, as my country ( Trinidad and Tobago) is transitioning into making Spanish the second language. My goal is to educate preschool to primary school aged children, so that they would have an easier time with the language when they get to secondary school where it is currently compulsory. ( yes I have a valid U.S. address for it to be shipped to )
I would love the DVD set for my daughter Emilie. My husband and I both come from Central American background (El Salvador and Guatemala) and I speak both English and Spanish to her. Having the DVD set will reinforce and teach her new Spanish words and she’ll have fun watching them too.
I love Curious George! I would love her to have those stories in her life as she grows! =)
This would be GREAT for my kids (9 & 7) to boost their Spanish skills. Son is under a false impression that he’s already bilingual and hence refuses to read/speak/listen to Spanish any more than necessary. Meanwhile, the wheels are just finally starting to turn in his little sister’s mind, after years of frustration and disappointment. This would be a great way of appeasing their pleas for screen time while sneaking in some Spanish learning too!

After learning that my daughter’s school will no longer teach Spanish to through elementary school, I am definitely doing everything I can to give her a bilingual influence at home. I’ve been slacking and this will help get things started again. I was better when she was younger so she knows some, but her little brother has not had the same exposure. It is time to start sharing with him too!
The DVD set is for my grandson Kai, who hears some Spanish at home and now, at 5 years old, he is trying to speak Spanish and asks everyday how to say some word in Spanish. He makes up a lot of his own words that are not quite right. He becomes very frustrated when we do not understand his Spanish. He went to the beach in Mexico and had the opportunity to play with many children who speak only Spanish and he really tried to talk to his new friends. He is also a fan of Curious George. Seems a perfect fit to me.
Thank you,
The videos would be for my son, Eli … he’s still an infant but I’ve been speaking to him in Spanish and reading him books – it’d be wonderful to have a video to go along with his learning process! Mil gracias!!!

For my toddler daughter. She’s learning Spanish.
I have an 8-month old Guatemalan-American daughter Gabriella, and I am collecting bilingual resources for her all the time. I only speak English, but it’s important to me and my husband that she speak Spanish, too. He stays home with her now and is doing a rock star job of being the Spanish-speaking parent. He’s also taking her to Guatemala to meet the abuelos next week!

I’d love these DVDs for my two kids who have recently started recognizing that they speak a different language than their English-speaking peers. They have recently started to ask me to speak and read to them in English instead of Spanish and I’d love to show them how fun being a Spanish-speaking child it can be. Please consider me in your drawing!

who the DVD set is for and why…
It is for my two daughters and our neighbors. There are a dozen kids on this city block with parents that didn’t grow up speaking Spanish. It just wasn’t something our parents though was important. However being that we raising our kids in the heart of Mission district of San Francisco we all feel it is very important for our kids to speak Spanish. We (the adults) have all made huge improvements to our Spanish as well
This set would be for my two girls. We are in a home that speaks both English and Spanish. I would love for my girls to continue to have the love and desire to continue learning Spanish. Plus, they are at the age where they absorb everything. They understand when mama talks to them in spanish, but I am having trouble when it come to them responding in spanish.

I work in a library in a community that is 70% Spanish speaking, but many of the children don’t read or write it. I would add this series to the collection so everyone can use them and also use them in my Spanish classes that I plan to start in the spring.
Me gustaría ganarme el premio, para mi bebecita. Mi esposo es Estadounidense, pero ama mi cultura latina, por eso estamos muy entusiasmados con la idea de que nuestra hija aprenda español también, y que mejor herramienta que la lectura.
This would be perfect for my nephew who is growing up in a bilingual household. They always need more Spanish activities.

this dvd set would be for our son because he would enjoy it
Hi there! What a nice giveaway! I would truly give this set a workout. I’m a bilingual Spanish teacher, married to a Honduran. We have three kids ages 5, 7 & 9. They attend a small K-12 Christian school, which last year decided to invest valuable school time in the Spanish program while everyone else is cutting back on languages. We now have at least three half-hour Spanish classes at every grade level, and the other two Spanish teachers and I (all parents of kids in the school) are training in TPRS and using this method with the kids at all levels. We give the kids lots of comprehensible input in Spanish, and reading and listening are important parts of our growing program. I would use these DVDs with everyone from kindergarten through my high school seniors! What a great reward for good listening in class — the chance to watch Jorge el Curioso!
I subscribed to your feed on my google homepage! Thanks for all the great resources! We have many moms at my children’s school who are very excited that their kids are learning Spanish — I’ll pass your info along to them, too!
For my daughter who is learning both spanish and english.
