Washing my face with cleansing cream, using facial toner, then moisturizer before bedtime. I have been doing this for 30 years and I get mistaken for 20 years younger than I am!
My mother taught me that beauty is only skin deep and that less makeup is more and that water clears up all types of skin irritations.
I put moisturizer on every night before I go to bed just like my mom does

My mom always use to put cold creme on her face before bed and then right before she put on her makeup because her makeup always stayed on longr and went on smoother. I do the same thing.
Always take off your makeup before going to bed.
The beauty routine from my mother to all her five children (boys and girls) was to brush our teeth in the morning and at night. The beauty of a healthy smile Gracias mamá!

My mom is very low-maintenance (short hair, never wore makeup or got her nails done, etc) so I’d say I didn’t inherit any beauty routine from her. My routine is all my own!
My Mother always told me to put moisturizer on my neck, because that’s the first place a woman shows her age. I guess my age shows all over these days, but I still automatically put moisturizer on my neck every day.

My mom saids cheap cream like Ponds was the best because it dos not have as much preservatives as the expensive ones, and it is true!! Gracias mamita linda!
always moisturize!!
Being of different ethnicities (she’s Korean, and I’m that and black), we can’t exactly share too many of the same beauty routines, but she does a lot more of them than I do. However, one thing she taught me was to take care of my nails, so they stay strong and sturdy. I keep them clean, and trim them to attractive lengths when they get too long.
Have a clean face every night before bed, and a dollop of night cream!

The beauty routine that I got from my mom was to always have a clean face and go natural. She doesn’t wear much make up and for the majority of the time I don’t wear make up either. Mom is cute in that I can see her freckles.

What a fun giveaway. It’s nice to get a treat. Most of my beauty treatments came out of magazine articles… but my mom was always helpful in evaluating their safety and results and even trying them with me. I remember she would always have beautiful nails and we would occasionally go through all the steps in a long process to buff and file and paint and soften together just to spend an evening together. I’m not very consistent about it now, but I did just start sharing “nail painting” with my daughter a couple of weeks ago.
