This post is long overdue, but I didn’t want to not share this super cute video with you and our experience at the Kallpachay Winter camp last month.
These last holidays we decided to stay in Los Angeles because we had already taken a trip to Playa del Carmen earlier in December for a friend’s wedding. As much as I wanted to go back right away, we needed to stay put y tranquilitos at home. That meant that Camila would have a full two weeks of vacation and all I could think of was finding ways for her to be entertained and also immersed in Spanish. Thankfully, I found out about Kallpachay and the winter camp program they were offering for the first time.
My girl does well in any environment where she’ll be singing, dancing, cooking, playing and learning. She needs to constantly be motivated and that’s a hard task for me when there’s no school! At Kallpachay she had wonderful native Spanish-speaking teachers that she immediately connected with; she was so eager to go back every day!
The video below gives you a glimpse of the kids singing “Los días de la semana” in Spanish. What I love about it is that they are so engaged it seems like they aren’t even aware they’re singing!
If you live in the L.A. area, I invite you to check out the enrichment programs, as well as the spring and summer immersion camps being offered by Kallpachay.
