One of the things you don’t realize once you become a mom is how seriously messy your life becomes…in so many ways.
No one can prepare you for the first diaper explosion (my husband had to deal with that one, ¡el pobre!), the projectile bursts of milk, or a closet full of stained shirts. We go through them and somehow survive and it all becomes part of the messy moments in life file. But, some are just bigger and much more memorable than others. Much.more.memorable.
I share my family’s biggest messy moment so far in the video below. I won’t ruin it, but the story includes a Vegas date night and my daughter’s craving for a cherry icee.
Horrible, no? We all have those messy moments that we are dying to tell and only another parent would dare indulge in. I invite you to get it off your chest and share your moment on Clorox’s Bleach It Away and you’ll automatically receive a coupon, plus you’ll be entered to win a daily prize of a $100 Gift Card and the grand prize of $25,000!!
Wish I could enter and finally make my husband’s and I weekend getaway a reality….*sigh*
Disclosure: This post is part of a sponsored campaign to promote Clorox’s Bleach It Away. The story and messy moment is all my own, yep.
Ohhhh, yuck. I am so sorry, but this made me laugh, only because I have had similar disgusting vomit-related things happen with my young children. The Icee, though, is the cherry on top.
See what I did there?
Oh, no…you went there! Yes….the story is so much better thanks to that Icee…yuck!
Hmmm . . . sounds awfully suspect to me. I think your daughter planned it! No way she was letting you out of her sight that night lol
It totally feels like she planned it! But she was so, so, so horribly sick, there was just no way. Vegas will come to us soon!
Those diaper explosions and anything projectile were the worst! Oy! Kids are messy, but SO worth it!
Oh! I have some awesome diaper explosions stories, too! My husband got the worse of those..hehe!
You poor thing! Cherry Icee vomit and a lost date with your hubby in Vegas all in one night. Glad your daughter ended up being okay the next day though. Motherhood can be messy indeed. Thank you for sharing this moment with us.
At least I got a story to tell…and tell..and tell…
Ohhh vomit *shudder*
Yup…..shudder it is
Like they say, “Anything can happen in Vegas” great funny story!
Ha! Glad you liked it. Yep, anything can happen in Vegas, just not what I expected. And this story did NOT stay in Vegas
And I thought my poop explosion during naptime story was bad (in the hair, the bars of the crib…yuck, just thinking about it!!) But cherry icee vomit is pretty bad too. Bummer about the date, but at least she was okay.
What I want to know is how you got your HUBBY to take on the poop explosions?! My hubs wouldn’t touch anything approaching brown in the diaper!
Oh, I took most of the nap time explosions, but the one he took was the worse and not by choice. He was wearing her on a carrier when it happened…..all over him…and her…ugh!
Oh my word Ana! I do not envy you and the cherry icee moment…. I would have panicked and thought she was throwing up blood, before realizing of course. I hope you and your husband get your date night soon and let clorox clean up the mess.
Oh no! : ( Yes….we’ve had many a messy moment…like the time when I was nursing my son and we went over to a friends house for dinner and he exploded (the breastfeeding explosion) all over their BED! I hop you ended up getting some time together?
HA! we had a blow out in the bjorn! that never happened again!!!! xoxo
Ugh! Messy moments times a hundred for sure!
oh my goodness! the thought of anything projecting out of a baby’s mouth and any other part just freaks me out! LOL! No kids here, but it has happened to me as a tia! Ha.
Happening as a Tía is much worse, I think…..so sorry for you!! haha! it always freaks me out…ugh
Oh no! Cherry icee? That has to be one of the all-time messiest moments. I’d like to be able to tell you that motherhood gets less messy as children get older, but it’s still pretty messy. LOL
I can only imagine!!! And with boys it has to be double!!
