ELLA is founded by passionate educators concerned about their own children’s educational opportunities. Facing the limited resources for early childhood bilingual education in the Phoenix area, Dr. Nicole Teyechea McNeil, PhD started the Early Language, Learning & Arts (ELLA) Studio in the heart of the Ahwatukee Foothills. Her three year old son will be attending.
Dr. Teyechea McNeil is an expert in teaching and bilingual education. Apart from her PhD from ASU in Curriculum and Instruction, she holds a Master’s in Bilingual Education and has been recognized as a community leader with various awards. She provides teachers with weekly professional development to ensure students excel academically. Her dedication, expertise and community involvement set ELLA apart from other preschool leadership.
ELLA teaches in Spanish to provide an environment where children acquire a second language in the same way as their first, naturally. The preschool for 2 to 5 year olds is currently accepting applications for the January 2014 start and August 2014 start.
