In my effort to be more involved with moms in need in my local community, I accepted to be on the Advisory Board for the local Help A Mother Out chapter in Los Angeles.

Help a Mother Out (HAMO) is a grassroots organization founded to raise awareness and help get diapers to families in need.

Can you imagine being a mom and not have the resources to buy diapers? Just think about the horrible consequences of that!

Not something we think about a lot, but the reality is that one out of three families in our nation struggle to buy an essential such as diapers for their children. They can’t even use Food Stamps or WIC money to buy diapers because it’s not allowed. Using disposable diapers if you don’t have a washer and dryer doesn’t help either because you can’t wash cloth diapers in laundromats.

Because these facts were astonishing and eye-opening to me, we’ve joined forces with MomsLA to get the word out about this critical need for diapers – and asking you to join in, spread the word, and Donate! In the month leading up to Mother’s day, from April 16th – May 13th, please find a diaper bank in your area and make a donation. And please DONATE to HAMO here on their Razoo page!
