Not only do we love Baila Baila’s music in Spanish for kids, but now we’re also really enjoying their YouTube channel, especially their “Ayer, Hoy y Mañana con el elefante” created to help children practice easy conjugations in Spanish.

So far they have launched three videos in this series, but they promise one per week. Check out this one for the word “jugar” and make sure you subscribe for more!

A few weeks ago a reader asked us on our Facebook wall if we could recommend una canción del alfabeto that was fun, upbeat and didn’t include the ch, ll, or rr. One quick search lead me to Basho and Friends and their “Orale, el alfabeto” song. Both the animation and the song are very simple, yet engaging and not overwhelming for kids. Actually, their version of the alfabeto song is quite catchy.

If you grew up in Spain or Latin America in the 1980′s you might remember a series of books and tapes with stories and songs called CuentaCuentos de Salvat. It was a collection of songs, classic stories and fábulas that were narrated by actors and master storytellers.

Some time ago one of our readers left a comment on our Facebook page with a YouTube link to a channel with all of these CuentaCuentos in a digitized version. Turns out a woman by the name of ClaraDarko took upon herself the task to digitize all the tapes and take video and pictures of the books. She’s put the full collection on a YouTube channel and is available for us to enjoy with our kids!

She’s also created playlists for Fábulas, Canciones, Cuentos del Mundo and her recommendations.
