My name is Laura Zayas and I am the owner, creator, director and teacher of Spanish-4-You, http://www.spanish-4-you.com, a mobile Spanish language academy in Los Angeles and Orange County that specializes in making children conversational in Spanish in record time. In most cases, we make kids conversational in just 4 months (based on just one weekly 1 hr session). We use the immersion method where not a word of English is spoken. I decided to track the progress of a very bright 10 year old, Breanna Ceballos, by videotaping the first 5 minutes of each weekly lesson. This was Breanna's second Spanish class. Last week, during her first class (see previous blog), I taught Greetings, Colors and Objects.
