In my post on Aug. 11, 2011, I wrote about our family's immersion trip in Peru. Our homestay was wonderful, and they are interested in hosting other families. You can contact Marta Reinoso directly at mreinoso40@yahoo.com. I recommend that you write in Spanish, but her daughter can help translate if you choose to contact them in English.
The website of the school we studied at is http://www.ceica-peru.com/index.html.
I had also considered doing our homestay and study in Cuzco, but our doctor recommended we wait until our baby was older due to the altitude. I fell in love with this school, and I plan to take our kids their one day. The owner is very helpful, and I love the fact that most of the tuition goes to the teachers. http://fairplay-peru.org/content/14611

Hi
Thanks for your post. I found it so helpful.
I am from Peru, peruvian dad, scottish dad. I haven't lived in Peru since I was 18. I have two daughters who are bilingual and have been thinking of taking them to school in Peru for one term. They resist and I'm not sure I want them to go to school in Iquitos which is where my dad lives. Your post certainly has given me some leads to follow. Sometimes things seem so complicated. They go to a waldorf school here in New Zealand and the idea of sending them to a mainstream school in Peru is daunting but Lima and their waldorf school is just not appealing. So thanks. I'll check out the two websites.
Regards
Catherine
