Does anyone out there have links for sites that go over talking "baby talk" in Spanish? I have studied Spanish over the years but I am not fluent. I am interested in learning phrases and sentences I could use with my baby once he's born. If anyone has recommendations or could just pass some cute phrases my way, it would be great! Thank you!

Hello, today is my sons' birthday and he has received a book, that in my opinion is brilliant!! I'm from Spain and eventhough I'm not fluent in English I speak English to him most of the time. Eventhough is for spanish speakers, its written in both languages.

The book consists of 20 chapters about subjects like dressing up, bathtime, baby food, time for bed… in each chapter there is a poem, which they should learn, vovabulary, a story and also sentences for the parents to learn. Both in English and Spanish.

Ex.   You look gorgeous. Estás divino

Cuánto quieres a mami? How much do you love mummy?

Eres un angelito, you are a little angel!!Kiss

Well, those are some examples.

I tell you the name of the book, maybe you could find it by surfing in the ner.

Good look

At Christmas this year I bought a CD and book from Jose Luis Orozco called Diez Deditos, on Amazon.com

This is full of little finger-play and rhyming games for small children and is really nice quality. The book shows pictures of how to do the motions and is very well done.

The same artist has another CD "de colores" with folk songs.

Since I am not a native speaker I am using these as resources to learn things to sing to my son.

The Kiddy English book through Vaughan Systems (http://www.vaughantienda.com/p…..glish.html) is EXACTLY what I need! The only challenge is that the book is only distributed in Spain.
Does anyone know of a book that can be found in the US that is similar
to Kiddy English? If not, I’ll have to bite the bullet, order the book
and pay for international shipping – ouch! Any recommendations would be
greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello tazo913,

I am from Spain, and as I told you I have the vaughman book for my kids and it is great. I try to teach them English, eventhough I'm monolingual. The eldest one, who is just 4, is doing it grear and the book is fantastic.

My husband is going to go to the States, California I think, in april for 2 weeks. If you want he could send it to you.

Look also in youtube.com and look for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..r5d5USNX4k cantajuegos, grupo encanto.

Is a Spanish group for children, their songs are "sticky" pegadizas, I mean you'll be singing them all the time.

Regards,

2 kidsKiss

Hi Taz0913,

I don´t know of one, but I´m happy to investigate. I´ll post this question in our Facebook page and see if we get any suggestions there.

2kids…thanks for letting us know about the Kiddy English book. I´ll try to contact the publisher and maybe we can get some copies in the US to review and give away.

Best,

Ana

Hi 2Kids – thank you for offering to ship the book to me. I really appreciate that! Are you sure your husband would be OK doing this on his business trip? I would hate to inconvenience him on his business trip. If you're sure he's OK with this, we can coordinate the shipment off line. Gracia otra vez por su ayuda! Laugh

Hi Ana – thank you for posting this on Facebook. Hopefully someone has some recommendations for this!
