I see what you’re saying. In my husband’s case, it would definitely be worth the effort. Thanks for telling me about all the work you have to do before hand though. He doesn’t have patience for these sort of things…not tech inclined…so it always helps to prep him for a technical challenge.

I tried this type of program in the past just our of curiosity. In general, my personal opinion is that I find them awkward because I can type much faster than I speak. They take awhile to set up, too. If you want it to be more accurate, you need to go through several reading exercises so it learns your voice. You also have to learn the commands so that it adds proper punctuation, spacing, etc.

I’m sure that for some people this type of program is a lifesaver but it definitely takes some time to get the hang of.

Chantilly – The HP Pavilion dv6 has a feature called “Speech Recognition” – and I’m pretty sure that’s what you’re looking for when you say “Voice Transcription”!

Holy! That is amazing, I had no idea! Now you’re making me jealous…lol! Sounds awesome amiga, congrats! I’m definitely going to have to this out! Quick question, does it have voice transcription??? My husband is dyslexic and I’m dying to find a program that really captures voice well with few errors. Thanks for the awesome reviews!
