Howdy, i read your weblog occasionally and i personal a comparable one and i had been just wondering if you get lots of spam comments? If so how do you prevent it, any plugin or anything you can advise? I get so much lately it’s driving me mad so any assistance is very much appreciated.

This answer was very helpful. Even though I was told this before, I hear myself mixing the languages in front of my daughter. This was a good reminder to keep focused.
I loved the link to the Multilingual Living Magazine; it seems to be a good resource as well.

Thank you so much for answering this question. I think it is true I need to evaluate what examples are they hearing. I need to ask myself if I mix the languages before I start critiquing them if they are mixing the languages. I appreciate your answering these questions for us! Thanks for this great information. Our daughter is still early on in her bilingual development but this is very helpful to keep in mind. I knowboth my husband and I slip into different modes around her (we'll speak to her in one language but address each other in a English or Spanglish). Love the Ask the Expert series! And I read your book, Barbara, and it was very insightful. It was nice to share it with my husband who, even though he is super supportive of raising a bilingual child, does sometimes listen to old school myths about raising a bilingual child.
