Now that is some great feedback from Ellen Kester, Ph.D. I recall hearing from a colleague that a study out of Texas a few years ago suggested that up to five languages can be successfully ‘learned’ by a young child up the age of five!

I remember thinking – “Aha! All those children do is code switch based on the environment they are in!”

Thanks so much for reinforcing what I say to thousands of early childhood professionals in the US – they are the ones who can jump start the 2nd language journey for millions of children in our great country!
