With just under four months before training camp, wide receiver Josh Gordon’s future remains unidentified inside and out of the Patriots locker area.
Quarterback Tom Brady and gordon worked a week, based on Brady’s Instagram. However, the wideout remains suspended for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy in December.

Count Super Bowl MVP Julian Edelman as one of those that does not understand if — or when — Gordon will rejoin the group.
“It’s a lifetime situation and you’re pulling for him… to get better,” Edelman said Wednesday, through Barstool Sports. “And selfishly, I want him because he is a great football player and he can help us.
“I really don’t know anything (about if Gordon is going to probably be reinstated) going right into it. Much like, legit. I have asked 30 people within the organization and outside,’Would you understand what’s going to occur?’ And not 1 thing is not known by any one. So, we’re just kind of waiting to see exactly what the circumstances will be with him since he’d be a really good tool and sitting. He balls”
Gordon was expected to apply for reinstatement in May, based on NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, but there hasn’t been any update on his status. Gordon didn’t attend the Patriots’ Super Bowl ring service and hasn’t made any comments, but remains active on social media.
