Thanks for posting this info! We are raising our daughters bilingual and trying to keep their Spanish and English as balanced as possible. We recently started a Spanish preK coop with other parents in the area and so far we have seen a dramatic improvement in the amount of Spanish our oldest daughter is actually producing. Before organizing Spanish-only playdates and theme-specific preK classes, she understood Spanish but would respond in English. Now she is more motivated to actually speak the language because she sees her friends speaking it and is more confident. For the younger preK set, we have found Monarca Language (http://monarcalanguage.com/) worksheets to be a great addition to our Spanish preK classes. Also, Whistlefritz DVDs and CDs (found on Amazon.com) are really engaging and not dry in the least – the music is very catchy and uses typical Latin American songs like “El pollito dice pio-pio-pio…”. We have also found Tribal Nova iPhone apps available in English and Spanish that cover math, animals, food, etc. to be very useful as well. PBS’ WordGirl, Wild Kratts and CyberChase in Spanish are rich in fast-paced, more complex Spanish, perfect for the 4-6 age range. I’m really excited to check out the links you have above.
