I’m having the same experience with my 16 month old, who is being raised bilingual English/Italian. I’m the only English speaker in her immediate life, but she’s saying a pretty even mix of English and Italian words (to the befuddlement of my Italian relatives). It’s very rewarding to know our perseverance is paying off!

Mi chiquito entiende todo lo que le digo en español, pero solo dice pocas palabras en este idioma, así que celebro y me emociono con cada palabra nueva que dice, empezó con agua y más, ahora dice vaca porque la ve en la caja de la leche y le encanta la imagen!
