Can Bilingualism Help With Rescuing Children From Poverty from Science 2.0 — A study has found that children with low socioeconomic backgrounds who are raised bilingual have better cognitive skills than their monolingual peers. An extremely interesting read.
A Spanish course for native speakers from The Boston Globe — If only this had been available when I was in high school. Kudos to the teacher who proposed it and the students who are attending it. More schools should follow suit.
