We spend so much time thinking and talking about what we lack… “i didn’t sleep enough, didn’t exercise today, didn’t get enough done, didn’t save money, etc., etc., etc…” We don’t spend enough time counting our blessing and being thankful for the things in our lives that make them worth while.

I love that you mentioned the unease many of us have when imagining the historical origins of the holiday. Still, we have managed to turn it into a reason to pause and remember the positives.
