Just joined The Force. When my daughter, who will be 4 in July, was diagnosed with a Periodic Auto-Inflammatory Fever Syndrome (PFAPA) at 18 months old, I soon realized there was not much information and support for parents dealing with this particular disorder. Just recently I found StopCAID an organization created by Lisa Moreno-Dickinson to promote awareness on Children Auto-Inflammatory Disorders/Diseases and I had to join her in her crusade. I since then created a PFAPA-En español support group on FB to help parents that are dealing with this problem and who do not speak English. Lisa has become an inspiration and I am hoping I can do more.

I’ve long thought of myself as an activist, and now with online platforms, there’s even MORE we can do! (And even though some might say I’m a big mouth, I think it’s ok to be loud and doesn’t detract from beauty — although some might differ.) Glad you’re taking action, and glad I can help. I both “liked” on facebook, and signed up for the campaign. Wonderful job, and I’ll look forward to learning more…
