If she knows that mommy makes tamales every year for Christmas and cascarones on Easter, she’s going to want to pass on those memories with her kids. :)

I think you are right about the way you are going about culture and exchanges in the daily life. That’s the best way of learning in an inviting and fun environment. We’re always a little wary of something new or ideas that others might have a negative opinion about, but it’s great when we can introduce our kids to something special in a fun way. Really great point about the comfort items! I find that my daughter has more fun speaking Spanish when it’s about something that she’s really interested in, like a favorite food or toy. =)

I think your doing a wonderful job in raising your child..I think we as moms put so much on ourselves, but we only want the best for our children.
