It’s been a little over two years since we launched SpanglishBaby into the blogosphere.  We started this space as a passion project where Roxana and I could write, share and learn from the community of parents raising kids bilingually and bi-culturally, like us.  The more SpanglishBaby grows, the more content we have to produce and time we must dedicate to keeping it all up. At the same time, both Roxana and I have to work and find any time possible to fuel our SpanglishBaby passion.

That said, we have taken up several partnerships in the last months to allow us to hire contributors, create more relevant content for the growing audience and, eventually, be able to dedicate 100% of our time to SpanglishBaby. Yes, we can!

One of those partnerships (not a monetary one, but an important one to grow our presence) is becoming part of the amazing Hanes Comfort Crew.  Honestly, we hadn’t heard about it before we got the email, but as soon as we saw they were inviting both Roxana, myself and our two girls on an all-expenses paid trip to Disney World we jumped on it.  Any chance to have Roxana and I in the same city, plus have our girls spend quality time together is an offer we can’t refuse.  Then we saw who the other 13 bloggers on this year’s list were and we were honored to be included.

As part of the unforgettable trip to Disney World, we got a chance to learn more about the Hanes brand, their comfort mission, their commitment to sustainability (they’ve been awarded an EPA Energy Star for two years in a row) and their huge involvement in social causes.

Hanes4Education

The cause that most caught our attention is their partnership as the only apparel brand participating in Box Tops for Education.  In an almost obvious move since all schools purchase t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc, schools are now able to earn valuable Box Tops when they order printed Hanes apparel in bulk through suppliers. All the information is available at the Hanes4Education website.

Here it is: Cinderella´s Castle at the Magic Kingdom.  My girl was in awe. She´s totally into Princesses these days…

The girls showing off their cartoon-selves drawn by Disney artist Kenny Durkin. The Comfort Crew had him all to ourselves during one of the nights dinners at Epcot.  Talk about special memories!

Incredible that the only picture Roxana and I have together is of us holding blue glow-in-the-dark drinks! We got special front row seats to watch the Illuminations spectacle at Epcot with treats for the parents and kids.

Roxana will forever tease me because I didn´t want to ride with her and Renee Ross (Cutie Booty Cakes) on the Rockin Roller Coaster. Hum, nope. I pass! Someone had to stay with the kids, right?!  I did get to be part of the picture, though.

Every single night we would get back to the hotel to find a bag full of goodies from Hanes. Never enough comfort-gear for us! We are working on getting cool products to give away here!

Thank you to all of those who are involved with the Hanes Comfort Crew and worked so hard to make this a special and unforgettable experience.  We left feeling renewed about our commitment to our SpanglishBaby familia and growing together.

Disclosure:  No monetary compensation has been received. As part of the Hanes Comfort Crew we received travel, lodging, meals, products and expenses for our trip. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
