Thanks all! I am home now with my family and it IS loud and so much fun! My toddler was wired last night from all the excitement, but it is so worth it so her surrounded by so many loving tios y tias!

Elsie, your post transported me to the many huge family Christmas celebrations I’ve been lucky to be a part of throughout my life! I could feel the joy, laughter, love but especially THE LOUDNESS!! Believe me, I know how that can get, and it is awesome!!!

What a blessing! I’m envious of those with such large families and the “happy chaos” you describe. My husband (un guanaco!) has a larger family than mine, but they’re mostly back in El Salvador. My family is small, but we do get together for the holidays and I’m thankful for it.
