I often feel in Spanglishbaby.com there are people who understand something about me that even my own mother does not, although she tries. Last year I took my baby son and my 2 stepkids to their father's hometown in Mexico, and it was just at Christmastime. That is Huetamo, deep in the mountains in Michoacan. I don't know how we'll manage it but I promised my Suegra I'll bring the kids back next year when they are out of school, and every year. Somehow I know this is going to be just as important for me as for them.
