I'm a reporter with NPR based in Los Angeles, and I'm working on a story about bilingual homeschooling. I'm looking for bilingual homeschoolers in Los Angeles to talk to. If you or anyone else in the area is willing to chat, could you please send me an email at swastvedt@npr.org? I appreciate the help!

Thank you for mentioning 2 Pequenos Traviesos on this article! How exciting it was to find our blog on the list. It makes me very happy to somehow help the bilingual homeschooling community.
Blessings to all,

I have also enjoyed this week dedicated to bilingual homeschoolers. We will officially start homeschooling our oldest in the fall. We speak Spanish at home and we prefer keep the ratio of Spanish to English about 80% to 20% for the first few years so that his Spanish is solidified. The problem I have is finding resources that are for native Spanish speakers (which my son is since it is his first language) and not for English-speaking children who are learning Spanish as a foreign language. I have met several Spanish-speaking homeschoolers through blogging and I hope that at some point we can create an exchange of textbooks and other materials. I hope that you revisit this topic in the future.

Awesome and comprehensive week full of homeschooling information for parents wishing to provide more than one language in their children's lives.

I would love to add www.OnLineFreeSpanish.com as another online resource for Spanish and English learning fun for FREE! We use them often with our 10-year-old daughter as well as glean ideas for our Boca Beth bilingual fun program and live concerts and keynotes!

This has been wonderful! You've listed some great blogs & sites I'm definitely bookmarking for reference. I just found Learning Resources. I've seen their products at stores geared at educators but just checked out their website and they have a few Spanish items on sale.

Thanks again for covering this topic. It's near and dear to me as I'm hoping to homeschool for some portion of my girls' lives. You ladies rock!
