It was wonderful to meet you at the Got Milk? blooger event in San Diego. Yo tambien soy una Latina orgullosa! I’m also raising my children to be bicultural and bilingual as I was (though they are 14 and 18 you could say I’m almost done!).

Tremendo! Mi esposo y yo le estamos enseñando a nuestra bebe de 19 meses los dos idiomas y nuestra cultura puertorriqueña. A ella le encanta comer arroz con habichuelas. Mi mama me envia yautia, malanga y sofrito desde la islita. No solo el idioma sino nuestras tradiciones se las quiero transmitir. En Navidad cantaremos parrandas en nuestra casa aunque sea de cuarto en cuarto y con nieve en el balcon. Celebraremos el nacimiento del niño Jesus y los tres reyes magos. Despues de 13 años en EEUU años amo mas mi cultura latina y quiero que ella sepa de donde es.
