We adopted two Guatemalan kids. Even though we live in Guatemala it´s been hard for me to organize the family around keeping my children´s heritage, one is Quiché and the other is Tzutujil. Partly, it´s because i´m still struggling with the fact that they are not my biological kids. It´s just hard and complex. I can`t even get myself to visit the sites they were born in.
